Build GCC 4.9.2 for C/C++ on CentOS 7

	sudo yum install libmpc-devel mpfr-devel gmp-devel

	cd ~/Downloads
	curl ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/sourceware.org/pub/gcc/releases/gcc-4.9.2/gcc-4.9.2.tar.bz2 -O
	tar xvfj gcc-4.9.2.tar.bz2

	cd gcc-4.9.2
	./configure --disable-multilib --enable-languages=c,c++
	make -j 4
	make install

Steps to clear out the history of a git/github repository

	-- Remove the history from
	rm -rf .git

	-- recreate the repos from the current content only
	git init
	git add .
	git commit -m "Initial commit"

	-- push to the github remote repos ensuring you overwrite history
	git remote add origin [email protected]:<YOUR ACCOUNT>/<YOUR REPOS>.git
