pro

  • as of late 2023, for 500€, good value!
  • refresh rates >60hz are amazing, i’m hooked now! – why aren’t there slightly cheaper 90hz monitors for office work?
  • for a gaming monitor (🙄), it looks quite okay

contra

  • next to my macbook air m2, its colors look very green-heavy
  • 2160p for 28” is a bit too coarse for my taste, i would prefer either 24” or 2880p
  • slightly but noticably darker at the edges of the screen
  • sometimes coil whining
    • most of the time barely noticable
    • when using the USB ports: definitely noticable coil whining
  • chunky & ugly external power supply
  • very tight VESA 100 mount, with way to short screws, you’re going to have to get some longer ones
  • the build quality is not 500€-level:
    • the back does not look very good
    • some of the plastic surfaces creak when moving the monitor
    • some edges are still rough, probably from the molding process?

wow I found mine on amazon for $420
