Dr. Yoshitaka Haribara at AWS Japan supports innovative generative AI startups including two unicorns. He helps Japanese companies to build foundation models (FM) and large language models (LLM) with launching the "AWS LLM Development Support Program" in 2023 and list FM/LLM on Amazon Bedrock Marketplace. Beyond generative AI, he drives quantum computing initiatives in Japan by promoting Amazon Braket quantum cloud services and collaborating with quantum technology providers to make their services and hardware available via AWS cloud. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from The University of Tokyo with expertise in combinatorial optimization, neural networks, and quantum information science.
