Facebook Auto-Refresh Blocker is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data whatsoever.
We collect ZERO data. Specifically:
- ❌ No browsing history
- ❌ No personal information
- ❌ No cookies or tracking
- ❌ No analytics or telemetry
- ❌ No Facebook data or content
- ❌ No usage statistics sent to external servers
The extension stores only the following data locally on your device:
- Extension Settings (stored in Chrome's local storage)
- Enabled/disabled state (boolean)
- Blocked events counter (number)
- Installation date (timestamp)
This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
- Can be deleted by removing the extension
The extension requests the following permissions:
- Why: To save your preferences (enable/disable toggle)
- Access: Local only, never synced or uploaded
- Why: To reload the Facebook tab when you click the reload button in the popup
- Access: Only reads the URL to confirm it's Facebook
- Why: To run the blocking script on Facebook pages
- Access: The extension ONLY works on Facebook domains and has no access to other websites
We do NOT use any third-party services, including:
- No analytics (Google Analytics, etc.)
- No error reporting (Sentry, etc.)
- No advertising networks
- No external APIs
When we update the extension:
- Updates are distributed through Chrome Web Store only
- No data is collected during updates
- Your local settings are preserved
Any changes to this privacy policy will be posted here and in the Chrome Web Store listing. Since we don't collect data, changes are unlikely.
Summary: We respect your privacy. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Ever.
