Guiding Questions to Define The Relationship:
1) What are your learning goals for this project? What drives us in this project?
Keep progressing with our knowlege of javascript, jquery, and get familiar with JSON and localStorage.
2) What is your collaboration style? How do you feel about pair programming vs. divide-and-conquer approaches?
Work on the project together from the ground up. Unless there is a situation where we have to work seperately, we'll work together.
3) How do you communicate best? How do you appreciate receiving communication from others?
Open and clear communication, direct communication. If at any point we need more help, open up. We appeciate getting communication from each other directly or via slack.
4) How would you describe your work style?
Tyler, work in pairs, conduct research on my own. Hector: I like to work in a quiet setting free of distraction.
5) What are your strengths? How can our strengths complement each other?
Tyler: Keeping calm and make sure to not panic, keep us level headed. Hector: HTML/CSS and javascript.
6) What’s gone well or poorly in your previous projects? How will we set direction and make decisions as a team?
Use screenhero if we need to. Otherwise just work together throughout the entire process. Figure out the best way to finish the project.
7) How will we overcome obstacles?
Don't panic, stay calm, and ask for help when we need it. A lot of high fives, celebrate small wins.
8) What do you need (resources, environment, communication) to do your best work?
Quiet place free of distractions.
9) What scheduling restraints do you have? What are your scheduling preferences?
After school is preferable. And we're meeting Sunday at Turing to work on the project.
10) What is your style for giving feedback? Does anything ever hold you back from giving feedback?
Tyler: Honesty and being positive about giving feedback. Appreciative feedback and coaching. Hector: Honesty, I like appreciative feedback.
11) What do you identify as being your biggest strength(s) technically, as they relate to this project?
Tyler: Solid handle on html/css and working on javascript, still learning. Hector: Jquery, html/css.
12) Where do you feel you could use improvement in your technical skills, as they relate to this project?
Tyler: Javascript, jquery, JSON. Hector: Jquery, JSON.
13) How can our team help support you in improving these skills?
Seeing how we each approach different probles and our process to solving those problems, just as much as we can from each other.
14) What tools do you want to use to manage the project?
Github, screenhero, our peers, coffee machine!!!
15) How do you want the group to solve problems when members run into issues with features of the project?
Seeking help from others, research.
16) How do you know if a project is successful? How can we achieve that as a group?
We feel that this project is a successful if our application works, we understand how it works and why it works.
