Build on your professional story by thinking about how you're progressing at Turing.
Answer the questions below in your own gist to use your StrengthsFinder themes to add to your story:
Look at your initial StrengthsFinder reflection that you completed in week 1 -- how have your perceptions of the top 5 themes stayed the same? How have they changed?
Upon my intial look at my strengths finder results, I was able to learn a lot about myself and I began to thoroughly examine why
those partiular strenghts were highlighted for me. I started to look at examples in my life where I applied these
strengths or examples where these particular strengths naturally came to me and also at instances where
I realized that I developed these strenghts through experience. I feel ever more confident in myself and I'm now consistently
working on developing these strengths of mine even further.
How are you different today than when you first started at Turing? How are you stronger now than on day 1? How have you struggled?
I struggled a lot at the beginning of module 1. I did not understand the content at first and it was very frustrating. I questioned
whether or not I belonged here. There were moments when I thought that I was not going to be able to survive at Turing.
But I recognize that if I quit, I'd be haunting by the immense pain of regret if I gave up. I'd rather suffer through
struggling to eventually understand the material than to give up. I did just that, I stuck to it until it I was finally
able to gain a solid understanding of the material. I'm a lot stronger than I was when I strated and I'm also ever more confident.
Considering how you describe these themes, how do you want others to see you as you continue to progress through Turing?
I want others to see me as someone they can come to for help and someone who is determined to succeed at Turing. I know what
it feels like to feel lost and clueless when it comes to understanding the material. I owe my current success at Turing
to people who reached out to me and helped me understand the code. I'd like to do the same for others and I will work
on making sure that I can be the person that others can come to for help.
