*Lockout is meant to be adjusted throughout the ride depending on terrain.
Note: Damping “clicks” are always counted counter-clockwise from fully closed (max damping).
- Speed up rebound (fewer clicks, more open):
- Suspension extends faster.
- Useful on rough, chattery terrain to keep wheels glued to the ground.
- Prevents the bike from feeling “stuck down” after multiple hits.
- Slow down rebound (more clicks, more damping):
- Suspension extends slower.
- Adds stability on big drops/jumps so the bike doesn’t buck you forward.
- Helps with traction in corners by keeping the suspension from pogo-ing.
- Low-Speed Compression (LSC):
- Controls body movement like pedaling bob, brake dive, and rolling through berms.
- Increase (more clicks, firmer): Better support when climbing or pumping.
- Decrease (fewer clicks, softer): Smoother ride over small bumps/roots.
- High-Speed Compression (HSC):
- Engages on sudden, hard hits (rocks, drops, square edges).
- Increase (firmer): More resistance to harsh bottom-outs.
- Decrease (softer): Better absorption of sharp hits, more comfort.
- Feeling harsh/losing grip on chatter → Open rebound or compression slightly.
- Getting bucked forward on jumps/drops → Slow down rebound.
- Bottoming out too easily → Add compression (start with HSC).
- Bike feels harsh on small bumps → Back off LSC a few clicks.
