Prism Launcher

Use this guide to update your Java version.

MultiMC

On Windows, install the latest version of Java by downloading and running the Microsoft Java installer: https://aka.ms/download-jdk/microsoft-jdk-21-windows-x64.msi.
- If prompted, it is recommended you install Java for all users.
After installing Java, follow the steps on the image below.
- If the Java you installed doesn't show up, click Refresh on the bottom left in the Auto-detect menu.

MCSR Launcher

Use this guide to update your Java version.

Official Launcher

We do not recommend using the official Minecraft launcher since it is tedious to switch Java versions – ideally, use Prism instead. If you have to use it though, see this guide.
