After googling for a while, I only found the 0.9.9 version from this link: version 0.9.9 compiled build
It's plug and play, no installation needed :)
So after doing a little bit of internet searching using duckduckgo (my search engine of choice), I stumbled upon the link https://fritzing.org/releases?dlid=khfI2NwLQN4FHv5jAMd-2A which for some reason was indexed by duckduckgo. Clicking it brought me to the options to select a download, and trying one actually prompted me if I wished to save a file. I did, and the file was in fact a functional installer.
Doing a little bit of testing revealed that this also worked for a non-latest release page (such as https://fritzing.org/releases/1.0.5 ) as long as the ?dlid query parameter was set, seemingly regardless of its value (I tried a and that for some reason appeared to work). In other words, it looks like the magic ingredient is this query parameter, and its value isnt actually validated anywhere and is likely only used for tracking.
Anyway all, there you go. Whats crazy is that this didnt even take that long to find (I think it was only on the second page of results for a search of "fritzing 1.0.6 windows")
@amelia-bartlett Thanks for the hint. From my understanding, ?dlid causes Fritzing to think you donated. It relates to cookies, since blocking them means the download page no longer appears. I'll update my gist to reflect this.
both links worked for me
