Download and install dc from http://12noon.com/?page_id=80
Create a shortcut on desktop
Add -width=max -height=max -refresh=max -depth=max to Target: in preferences
Open Autostart folder with CMD-R and enter Shell:common startup
Copy shortcut to Autostart
