🚀 Setup Steps

  1. Install Vim-Plug (if not already):

    curl -fLo ~/.vim/autoload/plug.vim --create-dirs \
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/junegunn/vim-plug/master/plug.vim

  2. Install Node.js (Coc.nvim requires it):

    # On Ubuntu/Debian
sudo apt install nodejs npm
# or install latest via nvm
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nvm-sh/nvm/master/install.sh | bash
nvm install --lts

  3. Install Plugins:

    • Open Vim and run:

      :PlugInstall

  4. Configure Coc language servers:
    Inside Vim, run:

    :CocInstall coc-pyright coc-go coc-json coc-tsserver
    • coc-pyright → Python LSP
    • coc-go → Go LSP
    • coc-json / coc-tsserver for misc projects

  5. (Optional) Configure Coc globally:
    Create ~/.vim/coc-settings.json:

✅ What You Get

  • Coc.nvim handles LSP (completion, hover docs, rename, go-to-definition).
  • ALE keeps error lens + fix-on-save (flake8 + autopep8 for Python, goimports for Go).
  • Cleaned up config (removed deoplete, nvim-yarp, vim-hug-neovim-rpc).
  • Go/Python dev setup with one consistent workflow.
