Hi Stephen,
I am trying to run the Jasmin-notebook script as you do from my local (having my keys activated, etc...) and I cannot connect to the sci server:
connect to host jasmin-sci1.ceda.ac.uk port 22: Operation timed out

If I manually log into the login server, then I run it and I am able to run a Jupyter notebook (after some tweaking), but, of course, the local server then is in the JASMIN-login server and I cannot open the notebook in my web browser.....
Although it's been a while since you posted this, do you have any thoughts on what could be happening or any special tweaks that need to be done to tunnel straight to jasmin-sci1 from my local machine?

Regards,
Irene

Hi! Also having a problem with this as the jasmin-notebook script doesn't seem to be available anymore?

Hi,

I've been advised that some work is being done in CEDA-JASMIN to have a "notebooks" server, in the short term...although I don't know the current status of it.

IN the meantime, ssh with tunnels seems the only option...
