2025-04-27: The way I play VR games wirelessly on Linux e.g. from Steam is to use WiVRn (a fork of Monado) via the Envision orchestrator.

Here's the path I followed to get it working with my Meta Quest 3S:

Download the appImage as linked from the Envision page of the Linux VR Adventures wiki.
Launch Envision from the terminal (so that you can see its console messages). In the GUI at the bottom is a combo box. Select WiVRn as the desired system. Then at the top of the GUI is a button to configure and build it. You will likely need to apt install some prerequisites first. (2025-04-23) Envision wanted me to installed these packages for Lighthouse profile:

Please check your code to ensure you're not making one of the following mistakes related to cryptography.

I. General Mistakes

Writing your own home-grown cryptography primitives (For example: Mifare Classic)
- Exception: For the sake of learning, but don't deploy it in production.
Using a fast hash function (e.g. MD5, SHA256) for storing passwords. Use bcrypt instead.
Not using a cryptographically secure random number generator

Vim, `gf` and node.

So, I just learned that gf exists. If your cursor is over a path in vim, and you type gf, it'll open that file/dir in a new buffer. You can also open in a new window/tab as detailed here.

In node, it'd be great if you could jump to a required file, huh? Trouble is, typically you don't put the .js on your require('./path/to/a/js/file'). No matter, vim has your back, just add set suffixesadd+=.js to your .vimrc and vim will try adding .js and see if it can find that file instead.

If you do a lot of spelunking in node_modules, it'd be great if you could jump to the directory of a required npm module too, right? A la, require('my-awesome-module'). Well, you can add set path+=$PWD/node_modules to your .vimrc too, and vim will add node_modules to the path, and jump to it's directory in node_modules (caveat: you must have opened vim from your project root for this too work).
