Ubuntu 24.04 on Macbook Retina 2017

The following documents what had to be done to fixed Bluetooth and Sound issues when Ubuntu 24.

System

Apple Inc. MacBook10.1
Intel® Core™ i7-7Y75 × 4

Audio

The following fixes when there is no sound.

git clone https://github.com/leifliddy/macbook12-audio-driver.git
cd macbook12-audio-driver/
sudo ./install.cirrus.driver.sh

Bluetooth

The following fixes the issue when bluetooth fails to activate.

sudo apt install linux-firmware bluez bluez-firmware

Prevent power manager from disabling Bluetooth. Edit /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf. Modify the existing value for wifi.powersave to '2' as shown here.
