Thank you for using Guardian (“the App”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
The App may collect the following information:
- Location Data: Your current latitude and longitude, only when you press the emergency SOS button or trigger the SOS action.
- Contacts You Provide: Phone numbers you add as emergency contacts are stored only on your device.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal information on external servers.
- Your location data is used only to generate an emergency SMS.
- The emergency contacts are used only to send that SMS.
- No data is sold, shared, or transmitted to third parties.
- All data (contacts, settings) is stored locally on your device.
- We do not maintain any cloud servers or databases.
- SMS messages are sent directly from your device.
The App requires the following permissions:
- Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) – to determine your current GPS coordinates.
- SMS (SEND_SMS) – to send your location to your chosen emergency contacts.
These permissions are used only for the core emergency features.
If the App is used by children under 13, a parent or guardian should configure the emergency contacts. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
