Radxa Rock 4C+

This is a great product and a Raspberry Pi competitor (given how much those have risen in price).

The official documentation is not clear about this so I will add some of my own learnings.

1. USB Boot

The device can boot from a USB SSD or NVME drive. This significantly increases its usefulness because of the poor write endurance of sd cards.

In order to do so you must flash a dedicated SPI bootloader. By default, the device relies on a bootloader which it expects to see on the SD Card - as the tools warn using an SPI bootloader may make recovery more difficult.

QC3907 Smart Camera [Nextech brand and others]

Couldn't find this information online anywhere so I thought I would post this useful information.

  1. Yes this camera supports ONVIF (but it is disabled by default). 2/ Port 8000 (ONVIF) is open by default and responds to http://admin:admin@[Camera IP here]:8000 but it appears that all endpoints are disabled.
  2. It uses a happytimesoft linux server as the backend.
  3. To enable, you must connect it to TUYA Smart Life then enable ONVIF from the menu (it will force you to set another password).
  4. If you forget the password you can factory reset your device. This will also change your ONVIF endpoints though.
  5. I'm experiencing that the device intermittently (once a month maybe) changes its ONVIF endpoints by itself. Given how intermittent it is, its impossible for me to diagnose - I suspect it might be a drop off from wifi.
