- How does this idea of not giving a fuck relate to your decision to come to Turing? So many people out there judge and think you should be living your life a certain. I knew choosing to leave my previous industry that I would face crticism and judgment from so many of my peers/friends who still work in that industry. I just had to not give a what and just do what is right for me
- How can this mentatlity be hepful for us? Specifically as developers? You shouldn't always follow the crowd and do something just because thats how it always has been. Developing means always evolving and trying new things
- What are the dangers of "NFGAF"? You still need to maintain an image a make a good first impression. You can't stop doing that

Ice-Burg Exercise/Mental Barn Four categories - school/family/friends/extra - 15min
- Four Categories things work friends family
- List the top 5 most difficult/annoying/stressful things in those categories having to deal with with judgment from friends and family Dealing with the structure of college was extremely frustrating. This is why I like Turing. I hated my previous work environment. There was a total cult mentality and people would drink the cool-aid and live and die by the company. I basically just did my own thing and didnt buy into the cult mentality Things suck. Everyone gets caught up in material things. I try to make it so I don't worry about things. Family dynamic can be tough
- Decide how many "FB's" You have to spend in that category
- Decide what you "DGAF" about
- Cross them off with a big black marker

Closing discussion and worksheets - Will - Rest of time
- As we discuss start thinking about how to fill out the other side of the worksheet. What are the top five things that are most important to you. What five things will you immediately stop GAF about.
- Discuss the hedonic adaptation. How does this relate to what we're talking about. How can we use this perspective to be happier and more fufilled people. Basically this says no matter what happens in our lives, we will maintain the relatively same amout of happiness. This totally shows you shouldn't GAF about things since they really wont affect how happy you are. The art of NGAF will probably make you more happier
- How has guilt, social pressure and obligation negatively affected your decision making in the past. Social pressure has impacted so many of my decisions I can't even fathom it. It has impacted thet things I say , do, buy, etc.
- What role does our perspective play in what we "GAF" about? Can empathy help "NGAF" in the most positive way? I think who you are determined what you GAF about, and empathy can definitely help you NGAF about certain things.
